To celebrate the sixtieth birthday of Sherlock Holmes on January 6, 1914, Dr. Watson invited people from Holmes’s orbit to perform songs and poems in the parlor of their erstwhile landlady, Mrs. Hudson, at 221b Baker Street in London.
A Musicale in Mrs. Hudson’s Parlor recreates that celebration. It was presented on January 15, 2025, in the Victorian parlor of The Coffee House Club / Salmagundi Club on Fifth Ave. in Manhattan.
